Fall Classics

I’ve fallen back in love with baseball. I grew up loving it, played it with some success as a boy, then fell in love with basketball. I was into the Indians title runs in the 90’s but then kinda ignored baseball over the years. The games were slow and the lack of a salary cap made it the same old story every year.

The Guardians were super exciting last year. They made the playoffs and threatened the big rich teams. The new rules make the game faster aka less boring. The terrible salary inequality is still there but it does allow for serious underdogs like Cleveland.

Jhonkensy Noel, aka Big Christmas, needs to find his power stroke for the Guardians to make the postseason.

This year, Cleveland hits less and lost several great pitchers. No one thought they had much chance and yet they continue to win, and they continue to threaten to make the playoffs again. Detroit was behind them last year but are now the hunted.

The playoff run is exciting. Detroit vs Cleveland, I love it.
