I retired this thing around '99 when I got a slick black PowerBook G3. I didn't try to fire it up but I bet it would. System 7.5 I believe, running some small database programs, music apps, and early networking stuff I used to mess around with before my job was mobile. Good old days? Jury is out on that. Oh yeah, one of the legs is broken and I didn't find the dock to get the ethernet. But yeah, old mac hardware stays solid. On that note -- I also have a Mac Plus that I painted black and used to run screensavers on it during house parties to freak people out. The technical end of things has been coming together. We did some upgrades to our recording rig, and am making the few cable purchases needed to wire this fiasco up. But don't miss any of the filler tv. I watch about the same amount of my favorite shows cuz I netflix or hulu them. Plus a new pastime has started -- every few nights i browse youtube in full screen mode and surround sound and make my own sick ass music concert. Instead of watching tv and thinking about looking something up online, we just sit at the big screen internet and take turns looking things up and watching and discussing. Very nice, very modern, very much more interesting than most nights in front of the cable. But yeah I miss me some basketball.
